WIP: Adeptus Titanicus Legio Tempestus Warhound Titans - Part 10

So, lots of work but small progress this week on the Warhound titans.  I touched up the camouflaged panels and then set about shading all four models.  It took some time and effort, but the pics don't show much at all. Still, progress is, well, progress.

Turbo Canis, the lead Warhound, is looking fierce.  A roughly 60:40 mix of GW Nuln Oil and Lahmian Medium was used to shade the models, except for the scrolls which used GW Agrax Earthshade.

Facta Belli is getting ready to punish knights and drop shields. The shading begins to tone down and blend in the decals.

I managed to shade Dente Ferrum without spoiling the white panels, esp. the carapace.  I used a Q-tip to swap excess shade form the large flat areas, while leaving it in the recesses around the trim. The desk lights are washing out some of the shading, but its there....I promise!

Lux Curet was last up for shading. I really enjoy the individual character of these models brought out by the varied livery across the various armor panels and individual weapon arms. I can't wait to see these four titans finished and stomping about around the legs of the larger titans.

Next up, the models will get based using a Martian red planet theme, then highlighted.  Along the way, expect more cleanup and the occasional update as I pick out new details or find something that god overlooked during a prior step.  There are just so many details for relatively small models, and the chosen color scheme adds a whole new dimension.

Almost there, honest!  Then I'll move on to something new. Thanks, as always, for following along.

Cheers and Happy Gaming!

    1. Thanks! Bases are almost done now so I should be able to show them off again next week. Gotta put paid to this project; it is dragging on too long! :)
