Hello there! I have been building so many models recently that I'm behind in my Workbench posts. Today I'm sharing what I built for the Legions Imperialis Mechanicum faction. Above we have my initial box of Krios tanks built as four Krios and two Krios Venators along with the assembled 'extra' bodies that come in the box. That's So much waist...I feel like the Venators could have had their own box. Perhaps this is so one could magnetize and enjoy the options. This seemed involved enough that I wasn't interested in getting into that sort of project.
Then I bought a second box set so I could have four Krios Venators and four additional Krios tanks. Next I built the box of Karacnos assault tanks.
Above are the Knights Magaera, and below are the knights Styrix.
While building these, I was also puttering around painting the Death Korps of Krieg heavy weapons squads and artillery piece. I very much enjoy the Legions Imperialis scale and hope to play a game at some point before the rules change. :)
For my next post I'll share what I've built in July - and at some point I'll even complete the artillery piece.

The Mechanicum models are so nice! Magnetising the Krios seems like a chore... I haven't even done that for my Predators where it would be easier.

I have not yet chosen a scheme. I'm leaning on the standard Mars scheme for the Mechanicum and House Taranis (Red/White scheme) for the Knights to match my 40K knights and Titanicus Mars Legios.

The lore-by in me wants to go House Taranis in Blue, but so much of the modern writing seems to be moving away from that and claiming House Taranis wore red to honor Mars...so...which ancient legends does one follow? ;-)
That does sound good. I should think you could go either way with Taranis. Which ever way suits you better – any narrator from 30k must be unreliable so there should be wiggle room for your colours. I can see the blue standing well against the black of the Dark Angels and the red of the Mechanicum. But both the Knighs and the Mechanicum in red would tie in nicely with the accents on the Dark Angels!
