Greetings and welcome back. I have managed to complete my DreadTober 2022 project this week! I'm super happy with how the project came out. Primarily, I worked on the base and tidying things up. I did add a Hekatonystika symbol to the inside of the left leg. This is a Terran veteran of the old legion before the Lion was rediscovered and put in charge.
There is my first big stamp o' DONE for the 2022/23 hobby season. Next month I'll add another with my (soon to be) completed Predator tanks, which were started in September. Here is the new dreadnought with it's brethren.
The dread on the left was painted for DreadTober 2019, shortly after Forge World released the new model. Here is a shot of all four painted dreadnought class models I have so far for the I Legion.
The Legion Deredeo dreadnought was painted in May of 2019 and the Legion Leviathan Dreadnought was painted for DreadTober 2020. So in all, three years of DreadTober represented here. I'm super psyched to see all four models show well together over that span of time. I have been able to maintain consistency in the paint scheme over that time and you would not be able to easily tell that they were painted at different times. I do need to go back to the older dreadnoughts and add a couple of the new transfers, though. The Hekatonystika and various wing transfers were not available when I started this project. The Deredeo in particular is a little bare of heraldry for the I Legion.
I'll close with a few close-up shots of this year's completed project after the break. Thanks for following along, and I hope you found something here to inspire your own hobby journey. I'll no doubt be back with a new Dread next year, and as long as the community challenge continues. This is definitely my favorite challenge of the year, with #MonsterMarch coming in a close second.
Congratulations to all of the participants this year for their hard work and excellent results.
Cheers and Happy Gaming!
